I survived the flu and I am back to work in my studio.

I am trying to get caught up on laundry and buying groceries and so on. I still don't have an appetite and the thought of raw meat makes me queasy. I can't even look at chicken or fish in the grocery store. My favorite thing in the the world, chocolate, does not even look good to me. This was a particularly vicious strain of the flu and it kicked my butt. I am slowly getting back to myself.

Today I am grateful for: apple juice, my pj's, the heating pad, good movies, and Vicks VapoRub.

I have the flu. Body aces, chills, cough and so on. I want to go to bed and sleep, but all I do is lay there and chiver. So, I'm sitting my chair under covers, with a heating pad on my back, drinking green tea w/honey and taking asprin every two hours. This just sucks. I am not a good sick person. I complain, moan, groan, get really grumpy and just want to be left alone. Most people want to be taken care of when they are sick. Not me, I just want to be to myself and deal with it. Oh, and yell at everyone who is not sick. My son is sick too, so I am not yelling at him. Bless his heart.

I'm sure there is something to be grateful for today, but it is not coming to mind.

My gosh, I have had a busy weekend. Really, I have been going non-stop since Friday morning. And, to make matters worse, the kids are out of school today for like the millionth Monday in a row. I NEED SOME ME TIME!!!!

Anyway, I had a great time at the Etsy Dallas Valentine's Trunk Show, Saturday. I met some really great women. I really enjoyed looking at everyone's handcrafted items. These are my finds from the show.

A beautiful brass necklace from Sadies Things, sadiesthings.etsy.com

I got this cute little necklace for my daughter.

And this very creamy and wonderfully scented soap from Moon's Harvest, bobter6.etsy.com

I really enjoyed the show. I'm not sure if it is the right venu for me, but I am so glad that I went.

Today I am grateful for tommorrow when I can be alone and rest or craft, which ever.

New treasures ready for the Etsy Dallas Valentines Trunk Show, tomorrow.

I'm am packed, loaded and ready to relax for the evening. So far, I am liking the trunk show thing. I am not nearly as stressed out as I usually get before a show. I packed a box of display items, a box of products, my bag of show supplies, chairs, table coverings and a small shelf. In the morning I will throw in a small cooler with drinks and a couple of sandwiches for me and my son.

Gotta go, time for General Hospital.

Today I am grateful for: getting breakfast out, time to relax, and a good nights sleep.

New pieces just completed....

I love the colors on this framed piece.

This is the first cross I have done with a bird theme - 8" cross

I love this little heart. It is so cute. I won't be able to sell it,though. I messed up the inside. I think I will just keep it for myself.

I used an airdry clay to cover the plastic heart, because the plastic would obviously melt in the oven if I used polymer clay and baked it. I really liked the airdry clay, but it was a little bit of a pain having to keep it under a wet rag to avoid drying it out. Then, waiting 24 hours for it to dry drove me crazy. I'm not a patient person.

Today I am grateful for: Greek food!!!, talking it out, new movies in the mail, and ice cream - it's good even on cold days.
